(Wilrijk, 31-05-1966) obtained a law degree at the University of Antwerp in 1990 and joined Fransen Advocaten in the same year.
He became a partner at Fransen Advocaten in 2000 and is partner at Fransen Luyten since 2011.
Tom mainly practices maritime law and handles a significant number of marine casualty matters. He also assists clients in the negotiation and preparation of commercial contracts (including commercial agency, distribution and license agreements, storage agreements, joint ventures, etc. …) mostly on an international level.
Tom published an article on arrest of sea-going vessels in Tijdschrift voor Belgisch Handelsrecht and has made a contribution regarding marine oil pollution in Gard's "Handbook on Protection of the Marine Environment".
He pleads in Dutch, is fluent in English and French and reads German.
