Bruno Fransen
Bruno mainly practices criminal law.
He obtained his law degree at the universities of Antwerp and Trier in 2003, a postgraduate in European Criminology and International Criminal Justice Systems at the University of Ghent in 2004 and an MBA in Public Management at the UAMS (University of Antwerp Management School) in 2006.
Prior to joining FRANSEN LUYTEN in 2007, he had worked as project manager at EULEC (Institute for Freedom, Security and Justice) and as a scientific researcher at IRCP (Institute for Research on Criminal Policy, University of Ghent) and ICS (Institute for Communication Studies, University of Leeds).
In 2009 he won the ‘Ridder Victor’-award at the Annual Antwerp Pleading Competition as well as second place at the International Criminal Pleading Competition at ’s Hertoghenbosch. Between 2010 – 2011 he was Head of Interns of the Antwerp Bar Association.
Bruno hods a SALDUZ- certificate (legal assistance during police interrogations) and a certificate in Juvenile Law (legal assistance of minors).
He fluently writes and speaks Dutch and English and speaks and reads German, French and Spanish.
